To use Hasty, you will need to manipulate the work area in such a way that you can label whatever you see fit to annotate. For this, we have two basic functions that are there to assist you. Pan and zoom. Pan lets you move around in an image. Zoom lets you look closer (zoom in) or further away (zoom out).

You can pan around an image by pressing and holding “space” and moving the mouse pointer in the opposite direction from where you want to go. You can also use the arrow keys to pan.

You can increase the distance that the image will pan per key press by holding down “shift”. You can also decrease the distance that the image will pan per key press by holding down “alt”.

You can also pan when in the process of creating annotations. Just press the spacebar, move the mouse in the desired direction, and you will pan without aborting the creation process.

If you want a "click-and-grab" interaction for panning, you can use the dedicated panning tool (short-key: H). With this tool, you can pan like you would using Google Maps.

You can zoom into a specific part of an image by using the scroll wheel on your mouse, by pressing “+”, or if you have a touchpad, you can put two fingers down in the middle, and then spread them apart to zoom.

You can zoom out of a specific part of an image by using the scroll wheel on your mouse, by pressing “-”, or if you have a touchpad, you can put two fingers apart from each other, and then pinch them together.

If you want to set the zoom value to 100%, then press“Shift” + “1”.

If you want to fit the image to the work area, press “Shift” + “0”.
